Lusaka is the capital and the largest city in Zambia with the Lusaka International Airport servicing major airlines South African Airways via Johannesburg and British Airways via London, with both originating out of Australia.
Whilst traveling in Zambia, the local currency is Zambian Kwacha and currently 1 Australian Dollar converts to 3,112 Zambian Kwacha.
Major Tourist Attractions - Victoria Falls (Livingstone). Zambian tourism has reaped the benefits of looney Mr Mugabe's policies. Livingstone was once a quiet little town, almost irrelevant compared to the Zimbawean town of Victoria Falls which used to bustle with tourists. Now many of them stay on the Zambian side which actually offers a better view of the falls anyway.
Australia does not have a consulate or embassy in Zambia however the Australian Embassy in Zimbabwe provides consular assistance to Australians in Zambia.
