Madagascar
 


Madagascar is a country that occupies an island off the east coast of Africa. The capital city is Antananarivo and flights into the capital are serviced by Air Mauritius via Mauritius, Air Madagascar via Bangkok and Air France via Paris.

To be honest getting to Madagascar can be a bit tricky from Australia; even the option via Mauritius requires at least one overnight hotel stay at passengers expense.

The official currency of Madagascar is Ariary which currently converts 1 Australian Dollar to 1700 Ariary.

Major Tourist Attractions are the national parks throughout the country that feature the various types of Lemurs. Madagascar is renowned for much unique flora and fauna and is a bit of a naturalist destination.

There is no Australian representation in Madagascar however the Australian High Commission in Mauritius will provide assistance to Australians:
